Tri-ness recall?!
Question: I went by the drug store today to get a refill on my birth control and they said that there has been a recall on tri-nessa, the generic brand of ortho tri-cyclene. ive tried looking for any information on it, but i am not having such luck. the only thing the pharmacist said was some ingredients weren't doing their job in the pill. Does anyone know where I can find more information or have any to share with me? This sort of stuff kind of makes women freak out a bit. Thanks!

Can't blame ya- I'm kinda freakin' too. I've scoured the net & found very little; what I did find gave multiple explanations. I heard that the pills might expire before the packaging indicates, that there's not enough of a certain kind of ingredient meant for the first week of pills, that it wasn't working properly in too many women, and someone responding to a different post said there really isn't a total recall. There's not even anything on the pharmaceutical company's site or on the FDA site- they should really put out some clear cut info on this.
