Hmm, I always get tired after eating -- all that chewing wears me out! :)

Generally speaking, a big meal/ feeling of being full makes a lot of people tired. (I like to nap after dinner, and Im pretty young)

Do you feel tired after eating a small meal? It's usually only the big meals that make us tired. Also, make sure your meal is healthy and well-balanced. Try taking a nice walk around outside for a bit, to get the blood flowing a bit while you digest. Coffee (small cup, with just a bit of caffeine) after eating may help (and very yummy! :)

But if you think it is MAJOR fatigue -- like passing out or something, you should ask your doctor, they can run blood tests and such to help you figure it out.
(If this seems to be a very serious problem, that just came up recently and suddenly, you'll want to get it checked out ASAP in case its a sign of some more sersious)

Other Answers:
You're probably eating a lot of heavy foods. Red meats and pastas.Your body has to break down and process everything you eat, that requires energy. Try some lighter stuff, and maybe eat a little less, and you should have less trouble.
Same here, especially certain foods.
I just assumed it was one of many symptoms of my fibromyalgia, however.
I have the same problem, and I'm 19 with Hypoglycemia. It's one of the symptoms, and worth checking out.

good luck.
i wud suggest u visit ur Dr.

Maybe ur blood sugar is high.

One more advice, control ur food intake esp @ nyt.
Digestion is controlled by your parasympathetic nervous system. It has the 'rest and digest' jobs in your body and the sympathetic nervous system has the "fight or flight" jobs. When you eat, the parasympathetic nervous system goes into action to help you digest your food.but it can make you want to rest too.

Nothing to worry about.just the body taking care of itself.
