If he wants to, he has to clean up for minimum of 90 days. But what is the point if he keeps doing drug he is going to lose the job later on. So the person in question must stop for good. One suggestion is to seek out some activity to replace drug like sport, dancing, or even reading.
Actually I do believe it only takes about a week or less for you system to be "cleaned out" however if he keeps testing positive he is either still doing drugs or may have a prescription drug that is causing a positive result.

The difference between the "flushers" and water is the money, and some drug tests are sophisticated enough to detect watered down urine. A friend joined the Army and smoked 2 days before his drug test. He just drank water to water-down his pee, and it actually worked. Thats about all I have 2 offer.
