Question: Why is it that when I used to wear pads my period would last longer but not I wear tampons and it only goes for a couple of days

I don't know sweetie. But be careful the the tampons okay. Don't leave them up there for more than 6 hrs. at a time. It's not good to have it plugged up for that long. And I know this is of the subject, but I hope you are not douching either! Douching is very bad! It makes you dry and it strips the vagina of it's natural secretion. Use the Summer's Eve "Intimate cleansing wash" in the shower to get 'it' fresh and clean!

i would think it's because it absorbs all the blood and pads just let you keep on leaking. ugh!
