the ESIs outcomes are varied. my boyfriend had a series of 3 and nothing much happened for him, he said his shoulder felt numb for a while but he was still in a lot of pain. on the other hand i've had people tell me that after their first injection they felt like a new person and couldn't believe how good it worked. it really depends on what's causing your pain. my boyfriend did have better results when the ESI was done with fluoroscopy. the next step he's doing is neural block which is when they acutally burn the nerves. we'll see how that goes. good luck!
