Answers:
Starving is never the right way. You must take in the right types of food (for you) so your body can get the nutrician it needs. You do not need to "diet" but you do need to change what, how, and why you eat.
Set a final goal to weigh in a year AND set a goal for each month, AND set a goal for each week (1 - 3 pounds a week is good). It is normal for your weight to go up and down during any given week, so when you do not see a loss, just keep going. Drink plenty of water.
Exercise is important, but do not make the mistake of over exercising. (I did several times, and since it made me hungrier, I ate more and gained weight).
Finally, get someone (or several people) who can help you every day. Who will eat what you do and keep you motivated to exercise.

The ABs diet is great! You get to eat peanut butter and meat and even bread! Don't give up. I too have a hard time battling my weight- and so do other women. It's so wonderful that you want to change your life and become more healty. And to get more energy you need to start excercising. try buying a home workout video, or even just start walking around your neighborhood. Good Luck & stay motivated!
I can relate. I would say to take baby steps. Start adding some exercise. Walking is great. You can then graduate to power walking or jogging or a combo. Also, increase your muscle using hand weights. Start slowly.

Diet is the other factor. Start cutting out drinks and refined carbs. Add good proteins. NEVER starve yourself, by doing that you are slowing your metabolism down! You'll go into starvation mode and end up gaining when you DO eat. There is countless info on the internet. Start searching and good luck to you! You CAN do it, but you should do it right .slowly so it will stay off. Develope a new lifestyle but not too much at once.

me -I lost 50+ lbs in the past!
mmm my best advice is to go to the gym at least 2 hours a day..eat vegetables, chicken..not fried, tuna, vitamins and a fat burner like carnitine..change your lifestyle. I'm sure if you exercise and don't stop you'll lose all the weight unless you have some gland illness
Well if you eat a controlable amount of carbs and calories per day and then exercize alot then it will help because carbs and calories give you enery therefor you have the energy to exersize that is why the adkin diet is so bad for you(that is a no carb diet) you want a low carb diet not a no carb diet

7th grade science (my teacher mrs.hall rocks and don't like to tell us things that she is not 100% sure of !
if you excirse every day for just a half hour you will have alot more energy, try pilattlies. good luck!
One way is simple.diet and exercise. Not a crash course diet, but rather an entire lifestyle change. First thing I would do is take a multi-vitamin/multi-mineral supplement. I would also recommend a fish oil supplement to increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids which will in turn lower your cholesterol and risk for heart disease. Stop drinking your calories. If you are drinking sodas then stop. Start drinking water and only water and lots of water. Try drinking at least one half gallon of water per day. Increase your intake of green leafy vegetables and decrease your intake of meats, especially red meats. Exercise daily. This will help your body use the excess energy that you have stored back in the form of fat and will also help with the low energy levels. Try and do your exercising outside because that will help increase your energy levels even more. I hope this has been somewhat helpful. Good luck and stay strong.
See if there is a CURVES for women in your town. I hear good things about them. You can look them up on the web too.
They have diet plans designed to increase energy and end dieting, also an excellent exercise program, designed just for women.
Well, you're going about it the wrong way. You need to get reduced fat menus. A good place to learn would be weight watchers. They'll help you out. In the end you'll be glad you did. Well worth the cost and you'll find that you can even have fun while doing it. I did.
Drink alot of water. Try to eat healtyer. And you might Loose.
Exercise, plain and simple.
Find something you can stick to.
Ride a bike, roller skate, blade, walk, garden, lawn work.
I lost tons of weight and put on muscle mass and gained energy by just riding a bike.
I started aggresively at 10 miles a day keeping the bike to at least a 10mph average over the distance.
Once I noticed change, I cut back to 10 miles every other day.
Perseverance and never stop doing it no matter how much you don't want to.
You want the results, you have to pay the price for a period of time.

Consult you doctor first!
I used A.C.T., I lost some weight using it, and experienced a very noticeable increase in energy and a feeling of well-being.

I too have been overweight all my life & have been fighting to lose my baggage. I've learned that I can't diet. Diet is for those who need to lose 10 pounds to get into that special dress. What people like us need is a lifestyle change.for the rest of our life. When you find something that works, you'll have to make sure it's something that you can live with.forever. That's why many programs fail. They don't address the emotional part of eating that we have trouble with. It only addresses portions, exercise and types of foods we can eat. We need the psychological part too. We need to understand "what's eating us". Go to www.sparkpeople.com and check out this free weight loss support group. It's got a ton of stuff that will help you get into the lifestyle change that is right for you. There are fitness experts, dieticians and a place to post your thoughts on. You can even have a "diet buddy". Someone like you who encourages you along the way. Maybe we'll meet! I've been a member for a few months and have been losing weight using their helps. Stop starving yourself and start living right. <*)))><
Diet and fitness work together toward a healthy lifestyle. Changing your diet and your level of fitness is what can change the way you look and feel. The best way to lose weight is about living a healthier life than what you may be living now. You will need a complete lifestyle change and you will need to be committed.

The body loses about 2 pounds a week optimally and that’s 2 pounds that stay off. When you drop at a faster rate your body could potentially rebound and either plateau your weight loss or put extra weight on. If you are committed then you should reach your goal.

There will be 5 basic elements you need to adjust to have a healthy lifestyle.
They are:

1. Your Eating
2. Your Water Intake
3. Maintaining a balance of cardio and resistance exercise
4. Smart supplementation
5. Sleeping the best amount of time.

I could give you a long detailed explanation but you can find each one of those aspects detailed in the source link.
