Blacks arent the only race with shaving bumps. Maybe they are the only race you have noticed!
WELL WITHOUT TRYING TO SOUND PREJUDICE! bECUASE YOU COME FROM AFRICA AND YOUR GENETICS WERE NOT MADE FOR SHAVING! JUST GENETICS MAN!
Because they have course curly hair.
It's more likely you get shaving bumps, because the hair tries to grow out and it curls under as it's pushing through the skin. Otherwise known as an ingrown hair. Any person can get them if you have course or curly hair.
i think its the hair, their hair is curly not straight it could get stuck under the skin as it comes out
Because their hair is naturally curly, and when they shave, the tips of the hair retract below the surface. When the hair continues to grow, it curls into a ball below the surface of the skin.
Has alot to do with genetics, extremely thick facial hair (pretty common amongst African Americans), the type of razor used, and the way a man uses the razor. I, being half African American and half caucasian, used to get really bad razor bumps. I also learned that I would only get them if I shaved every other day. I now wait about 3-4 days after I last shaved to shave again (Yes it doesn't look too professional but I can't stand nicks, cuts, and a lot of bumps. My dad and brother are facing this dilemma now and they use a product called Bump Away. Of course they believe in shaving everyday which to me is absurd. Also using an electric may eliminate razor bumps!
