why do humans have toenails?!

Question: what purpose do toenails serve in the function of humans?
Answers:
To protect the edges of our toes. The area where the toenail is located is a place where the toe contcts objects the most. If we didn't have toenails or fingernails, the tips of our toes and fingers would be continuously bleeding and injured.

I DONT KNOW?
God wanted us to have toe nails, don't question the Lord
Probably because when we walk barefoot, our toes brush into things, and they would become really sore if we didn't have nails on top to protect them.

Also, a cute bathing suit is never complete without a coat of coral pink nail polish! :)
to protect our toes.
They cover up the blood and the meat on the fingers maybe. Imagine if you didn't have nails.eww!
To scratch our legs when our hands are busy.. duh.
they are whats left of your claws. over eons they have been evolving away along with your appendiz and your baby toes. If they didnt serve some purpose like helping an ancient ancestor climb up a cliff instead of falling off you wouldnt have them.
To scratch your wife's legs when you're in bed.
Why else?!?!
lol, to prevent infectious agents from entering our very sensitve nail bed.
