what is duration of recovery from bulimia, by taking prozak?!

Question: i have bulimia and am getting prozak for six weeks, how long time does it take for recovery, and what is the best way or method for bulimia nervoza? thanks.
Answers:
The actual answer is 0 because Prosac should not be used as an exclusive treatment for bulimia. There is little research to support its effectiveness. Generally speaking, it takes 4 weeks for SSRIs to kick in. You should look for a doctoral level psychologist who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy. It is a time limited therapy that has been found to be highly effective for BN.

Other Answers:
taking prozak is never the best thing. it dulls the feelings that you have and you will never then face your demons and work through them. do what you feel is right but get some counselling and have a go at tackling the issues surrounding your bulimia and then maybe you'll work better without prozac
