Is there a treatment for a virus?!

Question:
Answers:
I think you just have to let a virus run its course. You can take over-the-counter medicines that might help w/ symptoms but you mostly just have to drink lots of water, rest, etc. The doctor will give you antibiotics if you have an INFECTION, but they will usually not prescribe any medicine for a virus.

Other Answers:
There are treatments for most viruses.
What kind of virus are you talking abot? Computer virus or human virus?
Yes, but doctors seem to usually only to reserve that for life-threatening situations. For the regular, run-of-the-mill bugs, time seems to be the best cure. Good nutrition, plenty of rest, and lots of fluids are good as well.
what is the viruse. and have you been to the doctors.if needed
call the health department to ask questions
There are many viruses, for some there are treatments but for other unfortunately there still isn't anything available.
Generically, most doctors won't "treat" viruses, they'll treat the symptoms of they need to (like IB for fever or steroids for related rashes, etc). Anti-viral medications do exist, but are generally reserved for the most severe cases as the medical community is concerned about society building up a tolerance (not a good thing when the modern world is worried about viruses such as Bird Flu).

Time, rest, fluids. let it run its course. Unless fever hits 104, vomiting persists beyond 24 hours, you break out in an intolerable rash head to foot, or you have other symptoms your doctor feels need to be treated.

Best of luck!
Sorry I hate to say it but no. I met a Doc that once said if you take these meds to treat your virus it will take 14 days with treatment and two weeks without treatment. get it? I know it's not any help but there are meds out there that canhelp you untill you get over it.
depending what kind of virus you have or are talking about.
