Question: I'm online too much. I have this urgancy to talk to people all the time, get response, ask questions, slove problems. Yeah this is a good thing, but only if I have free time. I always procrastinate, in the mean time i wak off, which is healthy but i do it more than twice a day, I feel icky afterwards and i delete all my porn, i watch movies too much. and fridays, saturdays are dayz for me to go out, no matter how many papers I have to write, because theres always sunday, I do all nighters to study for tests. Can someone please help me? I don't need god, or sandpaper, I need a good answer that will keep me on track, finish my work early and apply my knowledge to contribute to our society. That is my purpose, to help others, but if i can't help my self how am i going to help others. Also. i let things get in the way also like if i'm tired i dont wanna do anything, or that i have a head ache, or that i'm just lazy, Maybe i fear working? i dont know thats why i'm here for yall to help me

It sound as perhaps you are depressed. You also have avoidance issues. It's a lot easier fixing someone else than figuring out your own underlying behavior. It's a lot of work. This is not uncommon. Some people can go all their life doing constructive things for others and coast along without resolve by isolating and keeping to themselves.

There are many reasons for this but as you can imagine, I can't name them all. Don't be hard on yourself. It is a journey of self resolve that can only be done by you. When you are really ready to conquer it, it takes courage and time. It usually takes a therapist to dig down to those bare bone essentials. If you do decide to use one, make sure up front that you need guidance and not someone that is going to push a pen around the paper while you talk. You need to explore your fears.

I wish you all the best. You are sensitive and genuine.

I didnt even read that crap, but dont put all your eggs in one basket.
its addictive - you need to get outside and do some walking - find a hobby. Get yourself outside and walking to clear your head. Volunteer at an animal shelter or at a local homeless shelter or even a hospital. Just say no to the computer and TV. We cancelled our cable and you'd be surprised after the withdraw how much we don't watch it now.
I think you need to think of things in terms of what needs to be done to get to what you want. You should consider your goals (short term and immediate) and then make a plan to achieve them. If you stray from the plan, that's ok, but keep at it. Do you want to succeed in school? Then set a schedule to study and have breaks where you can chat online here and there. Do you want a good job as a social worker or whatever it is you want to do? Figure out what you need to study and how much work is involved and do it.

The alternative is winding up broke with no options. Taking control gives you options. Options are better.
I have a similar problem in that I have work to do but working from home on the computer means I am so easily distracted, and then I feel frustrated at the end of the day when I see I accomplished a whole lot less than I intended to.
What I have done is make myself a time table, and I have rewarded myself when I have stuck to it, even if not for the length of time I meant to. I use stars right now, like a kid in school,, but it is certainly effective when I look at the chart each night and see that I did manage to achieve at least a degree of work.
You can still set aside time here and there to be online talking and helping others, don't restrict what makes you feel happy altogether, that will be counter productive, but try to divide available times up so that there is a fair balance of work and then internet time.
Hope this helps
Cut Your computer out or down. Remove the internet wire if you dont have the will power. Stop using anything online, Life is not inside this little box, i found that out.

Do your homework during the week, in place of your Making love with your hand. Have the weekend off that way, relax then.

Loving the fingers, Cut back. Just make a quota for the week or something =P.
