Until it mutates, the only way to catch bird flu is to deeply inhale bird poo. This is because in birds it infects the intestines, and humnas it infects tissue deep down in the lungs. Travel to any country is fine, just take the normal precautions when it comes to contact with animals and with eating.

To catch the bird flu right now you need extensive contact with birds. You can't catch it from eating birds, as long as they are properly cooked. You would have to live with a bird or constantly be exposed to one. You should be fine, have a great trip.
