roles of a wife to a diabetic husband?!

Question:
Answers:
pardon? he's diabetic, not dead. Nothing should change.

Other Answers:
Find a new husband.
Study up on the ADA diet plan, get a diabetic or low carb cookbook and prepare healthy meals, be as supportive as possible, remind your husband to check his blood sugar regularly, see his primary doctor and his ophtamologist routinely, and generally just take care of him just like you always have.
Stand by his side (in sickness and in health)
zbelle has given you the best answer..I would like to add that you consider what you would need from a loved one if YOU were the diabetic..? Give what you would like to receive.
Your husband definitely needs your love and support with his condition. Diabetes can be very trying and frustrating emotionally, so stand by him and be there for him.
In order to help him best, study up on new information on the condition and treatments. Be aware of the symptoms of high and low blood sugar reactions and now what to do in any emergency situation. Also, encourage your husband's habits to change, such as exercise, healthy eating, etc. Exercise and diet with him.
Really, this shouldn't change your relationship that much, as far as the husband and wife thing goes. He is still your same husband and you are still his wife. Just be there and be his rock and support.

Good luck and best wishes..
