Answers:
If your life was so important to you, then you would be strong enough to fight the urges. Do you live with parents? Tell them to stop buying junk food. If you are hungry, and you see junk food, you are going to eat it.Same thing for being hunfry & having healthy food around-- you will eat it. You seem young, and you have your whole life to live. Think positive. Talk to your family, and tell them to buy healthier things.. because YOU want to change yourself. They will support you. GOod lUck.

Other Answers:
It's all about willpower. You have to make a conscious decision to make a life change. If that doesn't work.try hypnotism.
subway its the only way
I think you should try to exercise instead of just stressing over dieting. If you put too much emphasis on food it becomes all you think about. I suggest cardio such as walking, jogging, spinning to begin to lose weight and decrease your risk of heart disease. Hope that helps a bit.
I would say you have to really make a concious effort to eat less. Maybe just everytime you go for food think about the fat you are putting into your body and think about all the people in your life and how they will deal when you are gone. But don't stop eating, that's not healthy either. Just try to eat smart. Losing weight is hard but it's so worth it to be healthy.
just start small. instead of chips buy pretzels instead of pop buy juice (the good kind) then try to do at least one thing to get ure heartbeat up everyday soon enough u will have the confidence and control
Believe in yourself exercise! When you feel hungry have a piece of fruit or veggie stay away from fried stuff. ANd im not saying go cold turkey but do it gradually! Do things that make you feel good. Wearing nice things, getting your hair done wearing make up. Drink lots of water stay and throw out all the junk food in your house you want something sweet? Eat granola bars, have fat free stuff and stay away from sodas because they have high fructose which makes you hungry and makes you eat more! I know how you feel bc I am dealing with my own weight issues but just know that there are other people just like you who will get through this just like you will! have faith and good luck.
You need to find foods that you enjoy that are healthy for you. I too love food and after several months of eating healthy, junk food no longer appeals to me. I love to cook and enjoy experimenting with foods. Discover the joy of paring foods with a nice wine. Quality not quantity is the key. Exercise is a must but be sure to start slow. Walking is a good way to start. If you slip back to your old ways, forgive yourself and start again.
If you want to eat healthier, here is what you do. What you HAVE to do for your health. THROW AWAY ALL THE JUNK FOOD! And don't buy anymore. Go to the store, and load up on HEALTHY snacks.grapes, bananas, apple chips, cheese sticks, yogurt pops.things like that. Learn moderation. Best of luck to you!
tell the people taht live with you if any, they will help you. if you still live with parents tell them to please not buy junk food, or if you live by your self.if you dont think u have the will power to buy your food and not buy junk, then give your shopping list to a friend, if you go anywere that has the candy machines..dont bring 1 and 5 dollar bills or change.only bring 10 bills and up when you go to thoese places, or even just a cheak book. try exercising some also. dont try and starv your self either! that will only mess up your metablolism and make you gain weight, trust me on that. eat about 4 small meals aday, istead of 20 or 3 big ones. try and eat food with 15% or less fat. i hope this helps!
Apparently I am the only guy going to answer you. I have fought this same problem all my life, a trick for me is to stay active, drink water when you feel hungry, and stay away from salty foods that helps retain the water. the water will flush your system, and then try to get a friend or a positive influence around you.
trust me it is hard to lose weight but u have to take it a step at a time, you should first start by joining a gym and getting a friend or a personal trainer to help u and be right there at ur side.and i know junk food does taste good, but remember next time u take bite of that burger its more pounds ur adding to urself.overall just try to stay positive
I know what you are going through. The only way I ever lost weight was on the Jenny Craig program. I started again today. I know that it's expensive but they have this deal where you get a certain percentage off each week.
If you live on your own then do not buy the junk food. If you dont have it you cant eat it. If you live with your parents talk to them and ask them not to purchase it. There are good things out there that are good to eat. I love Edys fruit bars (in the frozen food section) yogurt covered raisons are really good. Preztels or even yogert covered pretzels are better then a bag of chips. Just remember to eat in moderation. And also sometime if you feel you want to eat try getting a drink, water is the best but juice (not soda) is ok too sometimes you can "trick" your stomach into thinking it has eaten when you fill it with liquid. Also trying exersising. Maybe just start walking around your block then when you are more into it join a gym. Hope this helps and good luck!
Have you heard of Overeaters Anonymous? It's a 12-step program like Alcoholics Anonymous. It's trickier, though, because you can't go "cold turkey" on eating. (Well, you can; make a sandwich of it. But you know what I mean.)

I lost over 140 lbs. on OA, which tells you something of how much there was to lose. I also found that, while I couldn't just give up eating altogether, I could give up certain specific "binge foods," which in my case was chocolate. I also find that if I avoid going out to restaurants, I'm ahead of the game, since they feed people way too large a portion as a rule. Even fast food can be too much, because the nutrients are not in balance. Most fast food chains have brochures they can give you telling you the nutritional values of the food they serve.

Here's another important fact: men normally need more food than women. Women can only eat as much as their male counterparts if they are pregnant or lactating. Mother Nature designed it that way on purpose, so you would not be forced to pack in more than is comfortable when you are pregnant or lactating. So if you're eating most meals across the table from a man, give him like half again as much as you eat yourself.

However little you manage to eat, you must keep the nutrition in balance. You know you need protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, but you want very small portions of what you eat, and avoid fats and sugars as much as is practical.

Also, the more you exercise, the better off you are. If you crave a larger portion of food, then do a larger portion of exercise. And don't make anything "tomorrow," which never comes. One day at a time; the day you are in.

Good luck! OA is in the phone book, I'm sure, unless you live in quite a small town. If you do, it's in the phone book of the nearest larger town.
If you try this on your own it can be very hard! I know what it's like. I think you need to go some place where you'll receive help..
Why don't you join WeightWatchers? I know a lot of people who succeeded with their program. The good thing about WW is that you'll meet other people who are in the same situation and you can get encouragement from them. Also they give you menuplans that are easy to follow and that work for everybody!
It doesn't have to be WW though, there are lots of places that are designed to help people like you.
Don't despair, you can make it! Don't try to do it on your own. There are people out there who can help you. Changing your lifestyle is never easy but without support and the advice of professionals it is almost impossible! My advice to you: don't give up and look for someone who can help you!
Wish you all the best.
Well, i seet that you are kind of depressed here but food will not change that. You shouldnt eat junk food every day coz you are damaging your health very badly. if you have a lot of weight to lose you should start counting calories. Make a plan that lets say you wont exceed 1500 a day and that you ll eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Fruits contain sugar wich makes your brain produce endorphin which is the hormone of 'feeling happy'. The reason you keep eating and eating is because you dont have any energy and you are just trying to balance your energy levels. Thats why you need foods high in protein and fibre. Start your day with oatmeal, apple and a walnut. You ll feel full of energy. Have a couple of fruits after 3-4 hours and then grilled chicken and salad. have another two fruits later and then have grilled fish or beans or lentils in tomato sause (make it urself) with salada and brown bread, if u have to use oil, then put a tea spoon of olive oil. Use oregano, basil, and other herbs to make ur food and ur salads taste good. Drink skimmed milk, its good for your ammune system and a lot of green tea coz its high in antioxidants. I hope i helped :)
Losing weight is very hard, in fact I lost 30 lbs several years ago buy running (hated every step of it). But then I got married and got lazy, but my wife lost 30 lbs. I put 50 lbs back on and now I have started to lose the weight again. Although, I will not run anymore, I hate running.

My wife lost 30 lbs, she is currently 115 lbs, by simply counting calories. I think she limited herself to 1100-1300 calories per day. I am limiting myself to 1400-1700 per day and have already lost 5 lbs. Do not stress yourself out with fat, carbs, sugars, etc. If you monitor your calories (every calorie that goes into your mouth) everything else will be okay. If you workout some then you can increase your calories some, if you want to lose weight and never leave the couch then reduce your calorie intake. My wife lost weight once, while unemployed, to fit into a dress she liked by sitting on the couch, but she only consumed 700 calories a day. I love to eat, so yesterday I started an aerobic workout so I can eat a little more.

To lose weight you must eat fewer calories than your body uses.

Less Calories, Less Couch = Weight Loss

WHAT to eat for losing weight

• Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, especially NC (negative calorie) food.

* Print these lists. They will be your . "Bible", from now on !
* Dill and parsely - include them in all your salads. Also ognion + garlic.
* Try eat mostly fresh vegs & fruits (whenever possible, of course)
* If you really want a book, then check this out: The Negative Calorie Diet Workbook & Cookbook - eBook (Win95/98 only). Read more about this e-book here.

• Eat fish, chicken, beef, pork. (preferences are in this order)

* If you are a vegetarian, then ignore this!
* Avoid fat meat

• Eat 2-3 slices of bread/day. Don't EVER exclude bread from your diet!

• Snacks between meals (if needed): apples, oranges, grepfruits and other NC fruits

* Don't cheat . NO cookies, chips, candies, brownies etc!
* EVEN if they have "low fat" indication. They might have low fat, yet they can have lots of CALORIES !

• About rice, potatoes, beans, [xxx]nuts, pastry, pasta. you know!

* Don't eat too much of those, at least during the first weeks of the diet. I'm not a low carb addict, but I've noticed weight gains if consuming those in large quantities, especially when associated with other foods.
* If you like them a lot, try and eat them like one meal. A nice delicious plate of spaghetti could be your lunch (never dinner!), followed by a nice big apple. These rich starch foods are not good for dinner!
* At dinner time, chose mainly large mixed veggies salads. with fish, lean meat or cheese (if you are not a vegetarian).

if u want to lose weight the best food to it are baked potatoes with nothing on it. no salt no nothing just plain. u can eat a 10000000000 baked potatoes till ur stuff and not gain a pound. i heard that from a weight loss tape. the best drink is water or gatorade. thats a start then when you work out do some taeboo. if u want a macine. run with dumbells on a treadmill. u could do the rocky workout. but thats a new story. u could use a butterfly macine i think it works the abs

1) It is not just the amount you eat, but what you eat. Lean meats and vegtables that snap are a good place to start. And by snap I mean fresh and not boiled or doused with better or whatever.

2) Exercise moderatly but for about an hour every other day. Spend half of that walking or running at a good enough pace for you to feel labored. The other half of the time use weights, or exercises such as push ups or situps to get a muscle "burn". A gym is also an option, but I don't know if you have the money for or want to spend the money on it.

3) Sleep well. To bed earlier and up earlier. Exercise in the morning when you wake up, not in the evening before bed. 7 hours of GOOD sleep is a must.

4) Occupy yourself with a hobby that keeps your attention for a long period of time. A hobby like this keeps your mind focused and gives less of a chance for snacking from boredom.

That is a good place to start. if you see good results, keep it up and modify to fit you. if it does not, see a doctor AND a trainer

Keep working out, drink water a lot, eat 5 to 6 meals a day but in small quantities, vegtables are important specially cucumber and lattice, fruits not be eaten after meals except by 2 to 3 hours, minimize the starch quantities in your meals lots of salad is important, your last meal must be before you sleep by 2 to 3 hours
the most important thing is you don't lose patient wait and have a strong will to be as what you want

you might have some more ideas from www.ivillage.com

good luck
I love Dr Phil for one reason and here it is

He continually asks his guests one simple question: "How's it working for you?"

Success in anything comes from FINDING WHAT WORKS then DOING WHAT WORKS.

I am going to reveal to you the Secret Weight Loss Formula that Celebrity personal trainer don’t want you to know about.

Before I reveal the secret, first I need to explain to you that there is process that your body goes through to burn body fat.

So how does your body burn fat?

That process is the same for every human being. I will outline the steps and then show you how you can easily apply some fundamental rules to allow your body to burn the maximum amount of fat with less effort and minimum time. Once you understand that simple process, you can easily see why you are not getting the results that you want. Even bigger, you will finally see that getting that dream body is getting so much closer to reality that you will be extremely motivated to get started as soon as you can.

How does your body release the fat from the cells?

Before you can turn your body into a fat burning machine, here what needs to happen: your body fat need to be released from the fat cells. You can accomplish this step successfully with your nutrition program. Here are some specific tips that you can apply right away to achieve that.

1.Eat 4-6 small, frequent meals and never skip meals.
2.Include small amounts of good fats.
3.Eat natural foods; avoid processed & refined foods
4.Eat lean proteins with each meal.
5.Eat more complex carbs, fruits & vegetables.

The most misunderstood weight loss strategy.

Releasing fat from the fat cells is not the end of it; actually, it is just the beginning. Because the fat needs to be transported from the fat cells to your muscles so it can be burned there. This is done through your blood and the cardiovascular system is responsible for that. The more effective is that system, the more effective your body will become at burning fat. You can improve your cardio vascular system by doing so cardio training. However, don’t go out yet and spend 1 hour on the treadmill because you probably not going to be doing too much good like that.

The reason is excessive cardio combined with a restrictive diet burns fat but mostly muscle tissue. That is not a good thing at all, because muscle tissue is where you burn the fat and if you are burning away muscle tissue, you are burning your ability to burn more fat in the future (weight loss plateau). You just don’t cut the hand that feed you. So cardio burns fat and it can also burn muscle tissue, this is a huge dilemma. Damn if you do, damn if you don’t. But wait there is a solution to that…

You need to do some MODERATE cardio training. The key word here is moderate.
Doing too much cardio can be detrimental and I am sure you have seen those people that are doing cardio on a daily basis and still not getting anywhere. The result is a low metabolism. Low metabolism means, your body fat is not going anywhere, anytime
soon. Here is what you need to do:

1.Do some moderate cardio training; the key word here is moderate
2.Never diet but consume little fewer calories that you will burn (No starvation diets, Please.)

The world most efficient “fat burner” available in the market is FREE and is already available to you.

Before I reveal to you how personal trainer get those celebrities in the best shape of their life in such short period there is one more thing that I want you to understand. Because it is very important.
Weight loss marketers always claim that they have the magic “fat burner” that will melt your fat away. The problem is that they have a new one coming out every year, so I wonder if the one from last year was so effective, why we need a new one. There is only one thing that actually burn body fat is you already have it. It does not come in a bottle or a special recipe. Body fat can only be burned inside of your muscle tissue. I repeat Body fat can only be burn in your muscle tissue. This is the most important concept for you to grasp.

Your muscle tissue is your best friend when it comes to burn body fat. You need to preserve muscle tissues in order to keep losing weight. Most people go on a starvation diet combined a lot of cardio to lose weight. At first it may seems like this is working because they are losing scale weight. However, scale weight does not tell you if weight loss is from fat, water or muscle tissue.

Losing fat is what you are after,
Losing water is only temporary,
Losing muscle will simply lower your metabolism and put you in the Yo-Yo dieting bandwagon.

To maintain muscle tissues you need to:
1.Do some resistance training. (This is not optional, it is mandatory)

The secret
Now that you understand the whole fat burning process, I am going to reveal to you what personal trainers do to get those amazing transformations. The strategy is to combine all the steps that I outlined so the body works as a unit. The process is release the fat, transport the fat and then burn the fat. All they do is combined a nutrition program, along with some MODERATE cardio program and they maintain muscle mass with resistance training. Everything is combined with one goal in mind: Turning your body into an Automatic fat burning machine. It is that easy.

Don't like the results you have been getting? Then CHANGE YOUR STRATEGY.

How do you change your strategy? How do you find one that works?

DO NOT continue doing something just because "THEY" say it's the way things should be done. Allow yourself to choose the solution that will work for you, regardless of what it may be. The only way for you to know who is right is to measure your progress and ACTUALLY track your results.

CHANGE IS HARD, but it's also worth it. Not getting results makes change EXTREMELY HARD.

Get support from friends, family or a coach. Losing weight is not as hard at it seems once you know what to do.
