how to lose 20 lbs before summer vacation?!

Question: how can i lose 10-20 lbs (in a healthy way) before summer and bikini season rolls around?
Answers:
I'll answer this is a simple way: 3500 calories = 1 lb of fat. Therefore, if you cut 3500 calories from your diet per week, you would lose 1 lb of fat per week. This averages out to burning 500 extra calories per day than what you are burning now, or consuming 500 less calories per day. It can also mean a combination of diet change and exercise.

For example, if you ate 300 less calories per day and ran 2 miles, you would lose about 1 lb per week (1 mile, either running or walking = about 100 calories burned, depending on body weight). To lose more than 1 lb per week, simply exercise more or eat less calories. Weight maintenance is very simple: if more calories are eaten than burned, weight is gained, and vice versa. Energy in should equal energy out if you want to maintain a weight. In this sense, weight loss become a new habit, in for the long haul.

Warnings: no more than 2 lbs of fat should be lost per week. This upsets the body's metabolism too much. Notice I said lbs of "fat", not body weight. Beware that you may experience water loss. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, preferably water if you're cutting calories.

Also, if you are cutting calories from your diet, you need to make sure you are eating healthy in order for your body to get all the nutrients it needs EVERY DAY. Low-fat diets tend to work the best, and are healthier. Don't follow trendy diets since a lot of them can actually lower your metabolism, making it harder for you to control your weight. If it seems to good to be true, it is, and that drastic loss of weight with fad diets is water loss and will all come back. Keep it healthy. If you get hungry (and you probably will since you will be eating less calories than your body is used to), eat something nutritious and low in fat. Good luck!

I assume that your summer vaca starts in about a month and a half, so start working out (running, crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, etc.) and eating right NOW! Just cut your caloric intake and up your exercise. I am trying to get in shape too. Just start now and don't give up! Good luck!
I would say do lots of cardio excerises. Finally, just make time to go to the gym and if u can't go to the gym u can workout in your house by doing sets sit-ups, push-ups, jump roping, and jogging.
