Can I have children?!

Question: I am 21 and have had a lot of female problems like VERY irregular periods and such for awhile. I have had unprotected sex many times with my husband and have never gotten pregnant. I also have absolutely no sex drive. I wonder if I am even able to have children? I don't want to for atleast another 10 years, but I am just curious. Is it a big deal to ask my doctor to give me a fertility test?
Answers:
First i have to ask, are you overweight? I am. I am 28 and had my son at 18 (just about 19) when i was about 125-150lbs. Since having him i havent been able to lose any weight, just gain, and my monthly is very sporatic. Just say its not "monthly". Ive gone 5-6 months at times. I do get cramps when i *should* be getting it. One doctor i had (when i first noticed this the 5-6 month thing) said after tests, that i was healthy just overweight. Which can cause you not to even ovulate. If you want kids, work on getting a better health in that manner and it should help a lot. If not, do what the others are saying and see a dr.

It's a fairly simple test..It took me ten years to get pregnant, I thought I was infertile.
Your sex drive is unrelated. Talk to your doctor about that issue as well. You don't have to suffer in silence.
Your sex drive is directly related to your fertility. First start having protected sex and then try to get involved in your sexual activity.
If you are concerned, go to your doctor and request a fertility test. Better off that you know than worry.
You can start finding out at home by tracking your basal body temperature to see if you ovulate. The website www.fertilityfriend.com will be able to give you a lot more detailed information and help you keep track of your temperatures.
Yes. Please take mine.

in my opinion it might be a good idea to check with the doctor if somethings wrong
if you want to have kids try envetro. your husbsand gives sperm ar you give eggs. if you are able you carry the child if you are not able then another woman carries the child with your husbands sperm.

you should ask your doctor.its not a big deal.
I am 35 and have never been pregnant (maybe once, but I miscarried very early). I have irregular periods and BAD BAD cramps sometimes. I was on fertility pills, no luck, them my insurance changed and they didn't cover infertility. So, my doctor helped me out and told me that really bad cramps could be a sign of something worse. They did a laproscopic procedure (and checked my tubes while in there, clear) but sure enough, I have endomitriosis and displasia, two things that make it near impossible to get pregnant.

Go to your doctor.tell them you have bad cramps and good luck.
OK listen here's what to do :
1)it could be you or your husband so both go for the fertility tests
2)it isn't a big deal to ask your doctor that's his job to help people and he's probably been asked that loads of times
3)get the results because like i said it could be you or your husband
5) don't be shy just go to the doctor and explain
maybe u might not have it at all. or maybe u could.
well i think you should ask your doctor just to make sure!.
Talk to your doctor and figure out what options you have for fertility tests. And if you don't want to have kids yet then dear lord use some protection.
I've never been on birth control, I am 40 and have 2 kids.
Find out from your doctor if you have any physical limitations regarding your fertility. It would be helpfull to track your cycle in order to tell when you should or should not have sex depending on what outcome you want!
Talk to your doctor and tell him or her what you are experincing.
