How does the hair on my chest know when to stop growing?!

I'm gonna assume that the pituitary gland in you brain regulates the hair growth and stops sending the hormones necessary for it to grow once it realizes how long it is.

It comes from your genetic background you need to have a history of both your mother and father's side to find out how much hair you will grow.
That is why alot of young men get waxed. My husband when I first met him did not have alot of chest hairs nor did he have hair on his back now 13 years into our marriage he is a gorilla ;0) The older a man gets the more hair he grows from spots like the ears, nose, etc.but in your youn age your hair should calm down, but if not don't worry for I and many women out there love a manly man not someone who is fake ;0)
