IF I (a male) have HPV, would using a latex condom protect my girlfriend from ge!

Question:
Answers:
Mostly, yes, with some exceptions. If the HPV is in the form of genital warts either on the genital or a*al region then there is a possibility of transmission. If there are no lesions, however, the chances of transmission are diminished. I am not sure there is a fool-proof way to be absolutely sure of not passing the virus, even with condoms. But this is a near ubitquitous virus of which only a couple of strains cause much problem.

Other Answers:
HPV infection is a skin base viral infection that is contagious. The use of a latex condom will reduce but NOT eliminate the risk. There may be other areas in the groin that are involved but may not be fully apparent. The risk of transmission to her is real. A drug company has recently developed a vaccine for women that will protect against HPV. That will take a few years before it becomes available.
The condom not always protect against this kind of STD, HPV and Herpes are contact contagious, so, u will have to wear all of u with latex to prevent transmite the HPV
It would lower the risk of transmission, however it is easier for a male to transmit an STD to a female than for a female to transmit to a male. I would warn her of the risks before attempting intercourse and let her decide if she wants to take the risk.

HPV infection can occur in both male and female genital areas that are covered or protected by a latex condom, as well as in areas that are not covered. While the effect of condoms in preventing HPV infection is unknown, condom use has been associated with a lower rate of cervical cancer, an HPV-associated disease.
