what carbohydrates make you fat?!

Question:
Answers:
Seems as if I've read that simple natural carbohydrates are absorbed differently by the body than carbs from processed foods. So, carbs from an apple are better for you than carbs from, say, a piece of chocolate cake full of processed sugar because the natural carbs are absorbed more slowly by our bodies. Foods laden with processed carbohydrates make us feel hungry soon after eating; foods containing no carbs, or very few, do not cause us to feel hungry for a much longer time. I can eat a one-egg omlet with a little cheese and a few bacon bits (total carbs: less than 2-3 grams)at 7 AM and not really feel hungry when I eat lunch at 12:10 PM. Try it; I think you'll find that it can work for you, too. Carbs cause a spike in our bodies' insulin level, resulting in an imbalance in our blood sugar levels.

We all need carbohydrates for energy. The fewer carbs we ingest, the more the body will use fat as its energy source. No one can cut out carbs from a diet; that would not be healthy. However, we should try to get our carbs from foods that contain it naturally, such as fruits. But, for quick energy, eat a candy bar! Of course, you can eat all the carbs you want just as long as you exercise them off. If you don't burn off all the carbs you eat, the remainder is stored in your body as FAT. Hope this helps!

It's not so much carbohydrates that make you fat. You gain weight by eating more calories than you are using. Soem carbohydrates, like cookies, are high in calories as well, whereas carbohydrates like fruit are not very high calorie.

Low carb diets come from the idea that if your body is low on carbohydrate intake, you first source of fuel, it will burn off fat and muscle as energy, causing weight lose. It's not healthy on the body though.

Simple carbohydrates can cause a spike in blood sugar, followed by a drop, leaving you hungry, which can also result in weight gain.

Your best bet is a well balanced diet.
Carbohydrates are carbohydrates. For dieting purposes it isnt necessarily good to cut out any specific thing out of your diet such as carbohydrates. The best diet you can do is to watch the total number of calories you eat and keep to a certain number (recommended daily value is 2000). You can keep your carbohydrates low but make sure to intake some carbs because this is your main source of energy.
