the latest test to detect Tuberculosis?!

Question: A patient with recurrent fever, mild cough,Chest Xray normal, no focus for the fever detected. WBC, ESR elevated.
Answers:
PPD/mantoux test which is a small injection that goes under the top layer of skin, it is then read in 48-72hours to see if there is a reaction. a positive reaction would be an area of raised skin 5 to 10mm around the injection site, depending on the risk factor of the person. in order for it to be accurate it should be redone in 2 to 4 weeks
