First if you have access to a Vista Optical there in Fred Meyers. There is a web site that advertises glasses for $19.00 they have a few styles at that price and go up from there but its www.19eyeglasses.com I also have checked out this site that sells them for $38.00 eyeglassdirect.com. I am not sure if you know you do not have to purchase the actual glasses from the Dr that does the exam its like a prescription for Penicillin you can go to any pharmacy but in this case its optician to get it filled.

Lenscrafters is a valid place for eye examinations and eyeglasses. It enjoys an excellent reputation. I personally wait for a discount coupon from them in the newspaper. Somehow I receive offers from them in the mail as well. When I receive the coupon for $75.00 to $100.00 off of services, I go in for my annual checkup. I am thoroughly satisfied with the services that they have offered me and the eyeglasses look pretty neat as well. God Bless.
Walmart, great selections too
Nationwide vision, but sometimes you have to wait a while, like a week to get your glasses. They are cheap though, and have a good selection of frames.
My wife use Wal-Mart and I use Vision Source, Vision Source cost me less.

My favorite place is Costco because they are a warehouse and cost are low. But please keep in mind that you only have 1 pair of eyes - treat them well.
