why are guys so weird about getting a professional massage from a male masseur?!

Question: if you have any experience please feel free to share.
Answers:
Well - I'm a massage therapist and physical therapist with over 15 years of experience. I think it depends upon the therapist/patient or client relationship - I have always been professional and never had any problems. I am also married with one son - I think that makes guys feel safe. I think it also depends upon how much pain or discomfort you are in - if you need help and are in a lot of pain and know that I could help you, wouldn't you be willing to put those feelings aside?

Homophobia. Men don't like other men touching them unless it's sport related.
Most ( american ) men equate being touched with being sexual. They are afraid that during the massage they could become aroused and that might make them question their sexuality.
It's sad really.
Any time an american man is in a situation involving nudity, touch or something sensual, he thinks it also has to be sexual and preditory. Unfortunately, they are missing out. Usually, it is a male masusse's stronger hands that are better equipped to knead a man's more muscular body.
It's not weird. Us guys are normally against being touched by another man. It's not nice, just that. I didn't have the experience with a masseur but with a couple of doctors and it was disgusting enough.
cause hes prolly gay!
If the masseur is male, he's probably gay
wow, now that's what I'm talking about! Give a round of applause! Best question i saw today!
I really don't care who gives me a massage. I have had them from both male and female therapists and I don't even give it a second thought. The males sometimes can actually work into some of the deep tissues because they are stronger ( but I have also had females who can really get in deep too). If you find a professional therapist you should just choose the one who works best with your body, and forget what sex they happen to be.
What would people think if you accidentally sprouted wood?
