lemon extract. like vanilla extract.. but just make sure it's the lemon one. my brother-in-law needed like 11 root canals.. instead he let his teeth get worse to get dentures.. during the pain of rotten teeth he used lemon extract. it numbs mucous membranes.. ever got lemon peel oils on your tongue? it really numbs . use a q-tip and rub it on the effected area. give it a try and good luck
You could try clove oil. My mom gets a lot of tooth aches and this numbs the pain.
ty kank-a it is mouth pain solution u apply with applicator. it contain benzocaine, it leaves thin coating to protect toothache area. this product for me is very helpful.
Take a regular asprin, hold it on the tooth with your mouth closed and let it disolve. It will taste bitter/nasty but will numb the nerves in that area.

My Grandma, when I was a kid.
these are all great advice. cloves (ground cloves, or clove oil) are what is sold in the drug stores in the dental section under the emergency section. i guess what ever of these you have on hand will work for you. if you prefer you can go to the drug store, and tell the clerk you have a toothache and you were told of the ? pain killer kit ? they'll show you where th kits are. good luck.
