if i can focus with only one eye at a time, and the other eye turns inward, what!

Question: i am 22 years old and was diagnosed with a 'lazy eye' at around age 5. however, which eye turns inward depends on how far away the object i am focusing on is. when i am reading, i am using my left eye, and when i am looking at something far away, i use my right eye. i was wondering if my vision loss in either eye might get worse and is there anything i can do to improve my vision? (basically, i am near-sighted in my left eye and far-sighted in my right eye).
thanks

Keep your wife on your left side and your mother in law on your right.(the right kind of distance for both, and works well for you from what i hear!).

As for your father in law, you dont have eyes in the back of your head do you?

Other Answers:
my doctor suggested surgery, cuz I have a similar 'lazy eye' problem
It really depends on how severe your condition is. Some people benefit from patching or vision therapy, while surgery is a good option for others. Your eye doctor can tell you best if either is an appropriate option for you.
