What is a good way to get in really good shape for the NAVY? I have 4 months unt!


Question: I leave August 22nd. I am a 17year old female. I weigh about 162lbs. and I am 5'6".
My body is very well proportioned, although I would like to lose a few pounds but mostly get toned, lose some inches, and most of all be fit.
I would like some suggestions to train for a rigorous workout.

I jouned when kicked out of colege and even though I am in decent shape, I was still in trouble with the running. Don't like to run..So start running, little distances at first but buold up to a mile at least in 10 minuts before u go.
Also have some exercises to build up your upper body strenght. But mostly and importantly.RUN..RUN..RUN !

Start slowly. Walk--a lot.
if you want mostly toned, and dont want to spend a lot of money on dumb fitness machines, then push ups, sit ups, and pull ups are the way to go for you.
Boot camp consist of a lot of running, so you should try to be able to run atleast 3 miles a day this will prepare your body for whats ahead.
They will get you in shape. But, you can start eating well balanced meals at home, start do some light exercise like sit-ups, push-ups and running. Slowly build up on these in time, may start with 10 of each and run around the Block. Then work up to 50 each in time adding 5 and running at least a mile. Also, work on Stretching and getting your body limber. Stop smoking and drinking. Good Luck.

Honestly, you'll get toned and lose weight when boot camp starts! Whether you like it or not lol. Eat right, start slow, build endurance! Check out what the Army Berret training is like and be grateful you joined the Navy!
