will a cut heal if you keep using hydrogen peroxide on it? i know it takes the i!

Question:
Answers:
Hydrogen peroxide reacts with an enzyme in blood, which is why it fizzes when applied to a cut. It is one thing to clean the cut when you cut yourself initially, but don't continually use it- it will slow down the healing process, the skin cells won't get a chance to granulate and make a scab, to heal and make new skin. Just keep the cut clean with soap and water. Neosporin and a band aid!

Other Answers:
The hydrogen peroxide will kell the germs and keep infection away but I dont think it does too much as far as heeling faster
Hydrogen peroxide is good if you have a wound that needs to dry out quickly; it's good to clean the area around the wound with the stuff. It depends on the wound, the location . too much of it might damage skin. Think of what happens to hydrogen peroxide on hair when you go out in the sun . sizzle.
i believe in the powers of nature and even bad cuts i got to heal by letting the dog lick the wound, they got a lot of antibodies in their saliva.
in the tropics i lay in the river and the fish eat all the bad stuff and make the wound clean and free of infection.

but hydrogen peroxide kind of burns all the bad stuff and helps to heal the wound but all the rubish is still in location.
with the above method all is removed and only healthy tissue remains.
Hydrogen Peroxide basically is a poison that kills bacteria. It doesn't kill you because your blood has numerous "buffers" and one of those buffers changes the Hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. That's why it bubbles when you pour it on a wound.

Although it kills any bacteria on the wound, it don't think it will speed healing. Then again, the less bacterial your body has to fight, the faster it can get to healing itself.

Antibacterial creams like Neosporin help shield the cut. Peroxide just cleans it during the initial application.
