Why is being skinny so hard?!

food nowadays is so packed with fat, its ridiculously challenging to stay thin.
Because there are so many bad solutions like anerexia and belimia that hollywood is influencing on us, and really, all you needd to do is exersise, and eat a lot of healthy food. I am 115 pounds, and i am 5 5.5
Ok im 5'5 and i way 100 pounds. its not hard. well actually i shouldnt say its hard because i dont have to try. it depends on how you digest and your metabolism. if your metabolism is quick you will just stay skinny if it is slow everything you eat will stick to you. if your metabolism is slow i suggest you play a lot of sports and work out. my metabolism is quick and i play basketball and hockey so i am fit. please what ever you do dont make your self barf or starve your self. you are beautiful no matter what they say :]
when the caveman did not have food all the time his metabolism would slow down to store fat till he could get more food , this changed our structure, that is why you can not skip meals, eat small meals instead of one big one, this keeps the body in sync so it will not store fat.
It depends on the person, as those above have suggested. Metabolism is something you are born with, but that doesnt mean you just have to settle for being overweight. Eating 4-5 small meals throughout the day is key for helping your metabolism get going throughout the day. A big mistake that Americans have made is having dinner be the largest meal of the day. Even eating a small lunch and starving yourself until your large dinner is a terrible way to go. Also running or some other exercise in the morning works very well because it gets your metabolism going for the whole day. Good luck!
Not everyone can be "skinny" because it's not in their genetic makeup to be so. Therefore, if you're not genetically inclined to being "skinny", no matter how much you diet or exercise, you will not get "skinny"; you will only become malnourished and very unhealthy. It is better to have healthy curves than be a skinny corpse.
In the other hand, some people struggle to gain weight.
