Visine and other eye drops have formulas to get the redness out and getting adequate sleep always helps but, it might be wise to find the source of the problem so that any health concerns are dealt with A.S.A.P.

Put cold slices of cucumber on them. Also, cold teabags work too.
Try visine eye drops, they work the best. I have this problem too, because of my contact lenses.
You should consider seeing your eye doctor. Somebody else mentioned that you should find the source of the problem and I completely agree. Sometimes other conditions can make your eyes red. Be careful with Visine, if that's the way you decide to go. Using it too much can actually make your eyes redder. Also, make sure that the formulation you use is OK to use with your contacts in. (If not, make sure you wait at least 10 minutes before putting your contacts in.)
