pain in tooth?!

Question: there is a very minute gap b/w my wisdom tooth and the last tooth.sometimes food particles struck there and causes lot of pain.know i am having pain from previous 30 days .doctors have advised me to get rid of it.please suggest
Answers:
You should go ahead and set up an appointment to extract the wisdom tooth. It's a difficult area to clean and you eventually are going to wind up with a cavity in your wisdom tooth and possibly in the 2nd molar in front of it.

Wisdom teeth can be problematic. There is a dental disorder called pericoronitis. Pericoronitis is the result of food and plaque build up under a flap of loose tissue (your gum) which can result in swelling and infection. You could try warm salt water rinse of the affected area. You could also have a procedure performed where the flap of skin is removed or have the tooth extracted. Your dentist is the best person to guide you through this issue. Consider this: if the tooth is not functional (you do not use it for chewing food) it is nothing more than a source for future problems.

Your Dentist is the best source for guidance and if you are anxious about having a tooth extracted, let your dentist know -- they may be able to offer sedation (to relax you) or refer you to an Oral Surgeon.

Any use of clove oil is for nerve related issues caused by cavities, NOT soft tissue (the gum.) You could use a topical like ambesol for a "gum" problem. It is inly a temporay measure. Again, see your dentist and get some sound advice!

My personal life experience!
I have had a similar problem. Which was taken care of this morning. I had 2 teeth removed, and sum roots taken out. I suffered with my teeth hurting my for years on end. So I understand your plight. I always used"clove oil" you can get it any where, usually ask the pharimist. costs about 80 cents. But go get it fixed dear.
It's best to just have the wisdom tooth removed, especially if food sticks between the two teeth because it could easily cause cavities to form. If you've had pain for the last 30 days, you may already have a cavity in either that tooth or the one in front of it.

I have cavities in my wisdom teeth and I have been recommended to have them extracted because they don't actually do much in terms of chewing, and they are too far back to keep clean properly, causing cavities.

For the pain just now, try warm water with salt in it, use it as a mouth wash. Or try clove oil. But really, you need to see your dentist and just get the tooth pulled.
