Is anyone taking Phenermine? Does it work for you?!

Question:
Answers:
I've been on it for a little more than a month. First month on it I lost 18 lbs. Previous month I was doing the exact same exercise and diet and only lost 7 (which is still okay but not as exciting as 18).
It's not that I'm not hungry. I get full quicker. And I'm less interested in food. I was craving a cookie the other day so I ate one. It was a big Pepperidge Farm one and halfway through it I realized I didn't want (need) anymore.
However, if you eat regardless of hunger and ignore your body's signals, it won't do much for you.
If you actually diet on purpose and exercise it will work even better. Last time I was on it I lost 58 lbs in 4 months with no diet or exercise but I gained it back in a year because I hadn't changed my eating habits.
Side effects I'm having: thirsty. Hard to fall asleep. Don't sleep many hours. Hot flashes every afternoon. Sometimes dry eyes.
Warning: after a few months, these become addictive. It happens around the same time that they stop working. So pay attention and when they stop working STOP TAKING THEM. Give your body a few months off them, maintain your weight with diet and exercise and then go back on again.

why do you want to take pheneramine for ? do you have any allergy? running nose? itching? if there is then it will help you
I am currently taking Phenermine. Which is the generic brand of adipex, but mine came directly from my doctor. I have been on it since 3-24-06. I was weighing 287 and I right now to date 4/6/06 I weighed in this morning at 273.7, but I am working VERY hard, but they really do work to control my appetite, I had a very bad habit of getting up in the middle of the night eating, I have not done that in about 2 weeks, and I am so proud of myself.
Honestly, I can't believe doctors still prescribe amphetamine salts for anything other than ADHD. Go watch "Requiem for a Dream" to learn about how fun it is to get addicted to that crap. It is legal speed. Notice how amphetemine and meth-amphetemine are very similar..? They are both a form of speed and it is very easy to abuse this substance. Take care of yourself through diet and exercise.
I am currently taking Phentermine and must say, although it does help, it is not the magic weight loss cure all. It is for apetite supression. You must be very careful to avoid any other stimulants while taking it (i.e. coffee, chocolate, caffene etc.) It is still very important to eat properly. My nutritionist gave me instructions to eat no more than 37g of fat a day, eat at least 47 g of protien, 12 g of sugar but I am allowed to have 2800 calories a day.

It is important while takin phentermine to drink crazy amounts of water because if you dont, the medication can have an adverse reaction on your kidneys. It is a powerful drug and should not be taken by those who wish to lose 5 or 10 lbs. It should also not be taken more than 3 months with out at least taking a 3 week break before starting back up.
