I know this might sounds funny, but I just read this yesterday in Men's Health Magazine. There was a study that replacing your Coffee with Mint Tea is much better. It showed that for one it makes you more alert and you still get the caffiene.
Ginko Biloba helps to keep you awake. So does green tea and ginseng too. But the best thing to do is to pull over somewhere and take a cat nap of about 15-20 minutes if you feel really very sleepy. YOu dont' want to jeopardize your life or someone else's.
Do some exercises to keep your heart pumping. Try doing some stretches and jog for about half an hour before driving. It could give you the boost you need for the day.

And hey, take breaks when you drive. It's not safe to drive straight for that long. Take short breaks every 2 or 3 hours. Drive safe!
No Doze caffeine tabs and Red Bull. Also I read on the Internet that taking a high dose of caffeine and then having a 15 minute power nap will keep you going for hours. good luck. p.s. please don't do drugs like a lot of other truckies. a whole family we know was killed last week because of a drugged up truckie.
APPLES! APPLES AND MORE APPLES!
They are more effective at keeping you awake than coffee!

Truth!
ephedra. many mini markets still carry it and it works wonders. follow the dosage outlines and take with caffiene. caffiene acts as a catalyst. should keep you alert all day. if this will be your routine then focus on healthy eating and drink lots of water.
BEE POLLEN
