argument for and against treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder?!

Question: eg: medicine
cognitive behavoural therapy
Answers:
I'm taking antidepressants that are helping to control the symptoms and I'm having counseling with a qualified psychologist to get to the root cause. Both are working really well, but it is a hard slog.
Get a good sympathetic doctor and a good psychologist you will be amazed at how they can work.

You need to know that anti depressants don't make you feel "HAPPY" they just balance out the chemicals that aren't working right and then you can do the work you need to do to fix the problem. Also they take a while to work. You need to be aware that not all anti depressants work on all people. If you're not happy with the first lot go back and talk to your doctor until you get the type and dose right for you.

Good Luck! You can beat it.

Other Answers:
Anti-depressants seem to help with OCD. They worked for me. Therapy is just a band-aid for the sickness.
