is iced tea (the brewed kind) just about as good for you as drinking water ?!

Question: i know it is full of antioxidants, and i'm trying to get away from soda, so just let me know if i have to drink much water in addition to the tea.thanx!
Answers:
Well, the best kind of tea for you is green, I believe, but they're all caffienated. I hope green is the best. I am stocked up the keister with it Haha. But red teas like the ones out of Madagascar are really good for you as well. I am not very accustomed to their taste (pitooey), so I stick to green tea (with a dab of honey). White and black teas are the ones with the caffiene and not many antioxidants. so, theoretically, they're all mostly water and caffiene. but the green and red teas have the most antioxidants per punch than the others.

In Asia we drink tea all the time, but it should not have sugar & milk. Then you can avoid drinking water.

If your tea contains milk and sugar - then stick to not more than 2 cups a day and the prescribed 1 litre of water daily.
I have read numerous studies that we need 8 glasses of just plain water a day. Some teas have caffeine which actually act as a diuretic also.
Sure, why not?...........
its good but H2O is the best drink there is. you can drink home made lemonades too.
Tea is mostly water anyway. Plus it adds antioxidants and some flavor if you are tired of plain old water.
