What are some ways to convince my mom it's okay to tan.?!

Why on earth do you want a tan? A little sun is one thing, but tans are evidence of sun damage. And it adds up for the rest of your life. Stay out of the sun. Your mother is one SMART cookie. My aunt told me when I was 18 to avoid the sun if I didn't want to ruin my skin. I listened to her, and today I have no wrinkles. And I'm 60.

she's right, its not good. It will make you look like leather by the time you are 30. Go with the spray stuff. I have a friend who is 32 and she looks 50.I swear..years of baking herself with baby oil. be careful.your mom is right.
tell her you want to use the spray on tan.. she'll let you use that i bet. you just stand there and get it sprayed on instead of burned skin.
More than likely you won't be able too. Because there really isn't any good healty rumors just bad. Plus moms are old fashion. She prolly has already told you just sit out in the sun.
Listen to your mom because she is right. Haven't you heard of skin cancer? People who tan are more susceptible to getting it. Plus, later in your life you'll look like an old dried up boot.
i'd give anything to have my light skin back.instead i have spent thousands on laser surgery for my wrinkled discolored skin..tanning gave me dry wrinkly skin with moles..madonna has the right idea..and marcia cross on desperate houswives..keep your soft creamy skin and don't compare yourself to others..from. wish i could do it over again the smart way
Neither of my teenage daughters would be able to convince me. the sun is very damaging and could cause skin cancer. wear sunscreen and avoid it as much as possible.
