Okay I did some research on this one and this is the best I can get. In 2003, estimated number of adults and children living with HIV/AIDS in Africa was 25,312,500. The estimated number of deaths due to AIDS was 2,203,790 and the estimated number of children orphaned by AIDS was 12,002,000. There was nothing dividing out adults verus children in the death rates.
