In torquay they have a sedation clinic that a normal dentist can refer you too (assuming this is Plymouth, England your talking about!) They could also refer you to Derriford hospital for a general anasethetic or sedation, but I think there may be a wait for that. or possibly the R.D and E hospital at Exeter.
I couldn't find out anymore about the Torquay place, I think it is called something like 'Torquay sedation dental clinic' and is a big clinic that people from places like Plymouth, Exeter and North Devon go to.
The dentists in the area should know the name of it though. You could phone up some dentists from the phone book and ask what its name is and for contact details, or failing this you could phone nhs direct on 0845 46 47 (yes that is full number) to ask if they have details of sedation clinics (they might know - you will have to press the option on phone for 'dental probs' I think to get through to someone who may know). i can´t remember her name but going up the hill in st budeux there is a babe of a dentist and between her and her nurse you won´t need sedation.
