how soon can you take a bath after stomach surgery? Not shower?!
Question: I had lapband sugery 3 days ago and I just want to relax in a warm tub insted of shower. I have well water (Artesean) and the insisions are not open any more

You should wait at least two weeks. And only after the bandages are removed and no sign of non-healing or infection is present. To be absolutely sure, though, please consult your doctor. If you really feel the need for a bath, just don't let the water go above your waistline. If the surgery required any vaginal entry for any reason, you should not sit in the bath water at all. Please look at the paper sent home with you and if you do not find an answer please call your Dr's office in the morning and ask.
Baths too soon can soften and actually open healing cuts..so best not to do this too soon.
