Avoid wearing any patterns. Solid colors are best. Black and white pictures are almost always the most attractive. If you go for the black and white pictures then the best thing to wear is all black (long sleeves).
As for your hair, I dont know what it looks like now so it's hard to say what you should do with it. You'd be surprised though how good you can look in a black and white picture even with a less than ideal hair style. (Of course having a good photographer helps, too!)

As for your hair.. if you are do for a hair cut try and schedule it for the day of your pictures so it will look nice if not just remember that style ad how you want to look for that day!
