Maybe a toilet seat? It seems to be the right shape and it has no sharp edges where you would put your face.

Cutting a hole into a piece of wood would require either a router or a lot of sanding to round off the cut edges. A toilet seat has all that already done for you and it's coated in smooth plastic.

The hole may be too big, but that just gives you room to add all the padding. If you put enough padding on it, no one would recognize that it's a toilet seat.


EDIT: I just thought of something, maybe a toddler's potty seat be a better size.

EDIT 2: Make sure it's a new toilet seat and not a used one. LOL.
