The Los Angeles County Health Department coordinates 14 mammography centers around the county for women who would not otherwise be able to have a mammogram.

Even in my small county in Northern Cali, we have a program in our county called Care For Her. I will bet LA county has the same kind of thing. Try the number above. And, by the way, Planned Parenthood Centers do not do mammography, but they are a great resource for other women's health issues (birth control, STD testing, Pap Smears etc).

contact the health care center and ask where you can get free mammogram if they dont have that program.
If you or your husband are a veteran, contact the V.A.. Or usualy if you are at the poverty level just about everythings free.
