Before pregnancy, is there a minmium time insurance companies require your insur!

Question: I am shopping for health insurance planning ahead before getting pregnant, but wondered if you do get insurance must you be insured for a preiod (let's say 6 mo's) with the company first before they will completely cover you?
Answers:
Not in most states.
You just need to be certain to get on the policy as soon as you can.
You just need to be certain your insurance plan covers pregnancy.
Federal law requires all employers over 15 employees to provide it.
If you work for a smaller employer that has a 'flexible benefits' plan, they may not offer maternity benefits.
(because maternity benefits make up 40% of our premiums.small employers looking to cut costs don't want to have to carry it).
