I disagree with all of them it is! Because before I married my hubby I NEVER talked in my sleep now we have BOTH woken up many (Diffrent) times and caught ourselfs having a conversation in our sleep!

no its not its something that isn't shutting down while ur in rem but it happens from the beginning and not something you "catch"
agree w/ koolkat. I talk in my sleep, I've recently realized more that my daughter does as well. Guess I can do the same thing my mom did to me..try to get info out of her when she gets older while she's sleeping! LOL!

no, it is not contagious. some people just do it. like amason, my dad did the same thing to me, that is why I could never lie, cuz I knew I was gonna get busted for it sooner or later.
I think it might be. My wife and I recorded ourselves sleeping a while back (she wanted to prove how loud I snored). I listened to the whole tape and it was interesting that I would start talking a little in my sleep and then right afterward she would talk a little, and visa versa.
