why does the skin begomes yellow-greenish when you have hepatitis?!

Question:
Something builds up in your blood. NO, IT IS NOT BILIRUBIN
Answers:
Actually it is bilirubin that leads to the yellow/green discoloration in the skin and eyes.

Bilirubin is a breakdown product of blood and is metabolized through the liver. When the liver is not functioning well, as in the case of hepatitis, the bilirubin accumulates. Bilirubin is a pigment which then causes the discoloration called jaundice when in manifests in the skin and icterus when you see it in the eyes.

Depending on the severity of the hepatitis and the etiology of the hepatitis your skin may or may not be jaundiced. If the metabolic mechanisms of the liver become overwhelmed or is not functioning adequately then the bilirubin will accumulate. After reaching certain levels, bilirubin will make the skin appear yellow.

This is also the same stuff that you may see in your vomit - it will be the greenish bitter stuff (assuming it wasn't bitter green jello you just ate or something).

Other Answers:
because your liver doesnt work right.

hepatitus affects the liver, changing how it filters toxins in ur body. the yellowing of the skin and eyes is called jaundice

your liver starts to shut down and since it helps remove toxins from the blood the toxins build up and you get a yellowish tinge from them. It's called jaundice, some babies are born with it, and they can usually be cured by special lamps

Its called "jaundice" and it is the accumulation of a form of bilirubin (which you referred to) that cannot be processed by the sick liver and so then accumulates in the skin. If the hepatitis does not cause liver failure or severe liver damage, then the jaundice is reversible.
