Question about medicine patch?!

Can anyone tell me what to expect from a Lidocain patch, prescribed for back pain? like will it make me sleepy, keep me awake, make me nervous, make me high (scary).lol

I use the lidocane patch. It will numb your muscles. You won't get sleepy, but relaxed. I don't drive or anything while I have one on (I noticed since I can't feel the pain, I tend to bask in the freedom of painlessness and not on the road) and only use then when I can't stand the pain (there is a possibility of addiction). You might get a rash where the patch is also. Make sure that you use JUST SOAP to wash the place to put it, I found that perfumed body wash makes the rash worse. Also it won't stay on if you do alot of moving around, the adhesive isn't that strong.
