i was 2cm for almost 3 weeks but my sister started and went from 1cm to 7cm only a few hours. it just depends on your body.

We all wish to know the answer to that question. No one knows for sure. Everyone is different. There is a time when doc has to make a decision, they use special equip. to decide. Some people dilate to 1cm, and birth ten minutes later, go figure!
