Well the basic principle is - burn more energy than you put in.

This means working your body (exercising) off what you eat, rather than sitting and let it be taken into your body and converted into fat.

To help this process, only eat very low fat foods. Find recipies with a high vegetable and fruit level, and try and switch fatty products for low-fat versions if you absolutely have to have them.

Try joining a gym or if you don't want to exercise in public, get a friend round and do an exercise video together.

Try to eat half of what you are used to eat. I know it sounds too simple but it works if you simply do it. (Like leaving the plate half full, drinking half coke and everything else.)

what the army does to get everyone slimmer and in shape in basic training they just took away sugars that arent needed and alot of some carbs as well. I lost like 20 lbs. But i had a friend that went through with me and lost over 60 lbs. and alot of excersice
