Question:
Answers:
i swallow saliva, or take a drink of water.
but to keep the pressure from building up during the flight, you shd try chewing on a piece of gum =)

Yawn REALLY DEEP. that always does it for me.
I usually yawn and it will help it pop. You may also try pushing on the back side of your ear. Sometimes this will help it to pop.
I don't know if there is any actual way to do this. But this usually works for me. But I have had vacations where it wouldn't pop and had to deal with it the whole time. But I have ear problems, so that could be why.
I plug my nose, and then try to breathe through my nose. It forces your eardrums to expand. If that doesn't work then chew gum. That works too.
