By the Board of Medical Dentistry you should brush your teeth for 2-3 minutes. About the same length of time as your favorite song.

Three mins. Brush in an upward direction on your lower teeth. Brush in a downward motion on your upper teeth. (Front and back of teeth) Then brush as normal around and in your teeth. Then Floss in between your teeth. Finally rinse with a mouthwash that doesnt contain alcohol. Youre meant to brush your teeth after every meal - ideally 3 times a day..but twice is good.

I'm a dental hygienist

depends on the teeth

3 MIN 3 TIMES A DAY

The avarage time is 2-3 mins. But its not just about the time , its about the cleanliness. Even if you are brushing for 5-7 or so and if you are not cleaning them properly then it will not work. One needs to follow the right method of cleaning , consult your dentist to know further abut the right method of brushing.

2 minutes, and your gums too.

You should brush for 2 min at least 2 times a day. Most importantly before bedtime. that is when bacteria grows the most.
