Do you have to wait until your muscles are completely unsore from a previous wor!

Question:
I did an hour of cardio that made me sore. I rested yesterday and want to workout today. But I'm still a little sore. Do I have to wait in order to not injure my muscles.
Answers:
I wouldn't worry about a little soreness. Go ahead and work out. Sometimes the work out will flush the lactic acid from your muscles and you'll actually recover faster.

Other Answers:
You need to do gentle exercise. The soreness is lactic acid in your muscles. You need to do gentle cardio so that the blood can wash away the lactic acid, and also to loosen you up. You can always do cardio exercise using a different muscle group also, while those muscles are recovering. I don't work a set of muscles hard more than 3 days a week, but I do cardio daily.

Ok depending on what your workout plan is for today, i would advise two things. First if you are sore after a workout the next day, you can still workout the following day. It will even help in recovery and make the soreness less noticeable. Now the problem is that you cannot work out the same body part that you did yesterday, or you will go into overtraining.

overtraining is a condition that occurs when you do not allow sufficient rest to the muscle groups and you end up destroying more muscle fiber than you're actually building.

I would advise you to go ahead and workout if you plan to work a different muscle group today, however if it is NOT a different muscle group, i would tell you to wait at least 2 days before hitting them in the gym again.

Overtraining can lead to serious injuries such as tendonitis or a ripped muscle, so dont take a chance, it can make upward to a full year to heal from those conditions.
