i was married for 5 yrs to my best friend.Things went south and div.came it will be 3yrs without him this june. but everyday i still pray that he is okay and that one day our paths will cross again.Also,I compare every man to him that i am with.No one has come close yet.should i give it up or let him know?

You should let him know because this way at least you know you've tried but on the other hand you have no guarantee that he will want to come back to you.If you got to divorce the first time certainly something was wrong so maybe now you're just trying to find someone who will match the good period you had during your first years as his wife.You should do anything you consider will make you happy as long as you don't let anyone hurt or abuse you.
YOU SHOULD FIRST THINK ABOUT WHY THIS PERSON IS AN EX IN THE FIRST PLACE IT WAS A REASON FOR THIS I'M JUST A PERSON WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO LOOK BACK SOMETIMES WE LOOK BACK FOR CONVIENCE ( YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) THERE MAY NOT BE SOMEONE SPECIAL IN YOUR LIFE NOW AND YOU JUST WANT SOMEONE THERE TO FILL A VOID
